For the last 30 years Roy Andrews has operated as a sole trader, servicing the damp-proofing industry. Located in Bradshaw, Halifax and trading under the name A1 Dampcoursing, the business successfully operated completing projects across the Calderdale area.

In 2006 Roy joined forces with his son-in law, Jonathan Conboy, and with the addition of a second worksite in Leeds, A1 Dampcoursing quickly flourished and expanded to cover the entire Yorkshire area.

During May 2009, A1 Dampcoursing Ltd was formed. Specialising in all aspects of damp-proofing, timber-treatment and other remedial services, the company has flourished and grown.
